FEATURES

Slow Speed Outlet
You will find this behind the removable cover at the front of the kitchen machine. Use this outlet to run our high
quality pasta roller, shaper and cutters, food mincer, rotary slicer/grater, grinding mill and fruit press.

Total Mixing Action
Instead of following the routine circular motion used by most mixers, our total mixing action thoroughly combines
every ingredient inside the bowl, including all the mix that would otherwise stick around the sides and the base.
This gives you a consistent mixture and better results, whether you’re whisking up a single egg white or kneading
kilos of dough.

A test of good performance is how well the ingredients are mixed in the bowl. While most beaters rotate in a
circular motion the Kenwood bowl tools move in a planetary motion.

Kenwood’s total mixing means that while the beater revolving in one direction, the socket turns in the opposite
direction making sure that all the mixture is picked up from around the bowl.
It is consistent whether you are whisking one egg white or 2.4kg of bread dough.

Pulse and fold
Pulse speed – circa 14000rpm for high speed blending of ingredients in the blender. The pulse function is continuous
until the button is released.Pulse can be used during heating however, if the temperature of the bowl is above 60°C,
then it will be limited to around 3500rpm.
Fold function – 2½ revolutions at a very slow speed (22rpm) to carefully fold ingredients together when cold mixing.
For example folding sugar into egg whites when preparing meringues. The fold function is continuous if the button is
held down, otherwise it will act for 1 cycle of 2½ revolutions.Fold can be used during heating.Neither fold or pulse
functions are effected by the position of the control knob. The speed LED light will flash during either fold or
pulse.

Bowl and Bowl Outlet
This is a unique interlocking bowl comprising of a special base for induction cooking. The bowl can also be used for
cold cooking.

6.7L Bowl Capacity with 3L Cooking and Mixing Capacity
Large capacity is perfect for families and entertaining, will mix cakes up to 4.55kg, dough up to 2.4kg and up to 16
egg whites.

Bowl Outlet
A brilliant choice of attachments and accessories are provided for use in the bowl area of all Kenwood kitchen
machines. Up to four bowl tools come complete with every Kenwood Chef and Major kitchen machine. They are quick and
simple to attach – using a push and twist action. Bowl tools are all height adjustable to make sure they pick up all
the ingredients from the bottom of the bowl.

Induction Cooking
Unique to the Kenwood Cooking Chef, induction cooking brings a revolutionary dimension to the art of creative
cooking. A built-in, 1100 Watt heat induction system enables you to continuously stir and cook ingredients to
perfection. The specially designed bowl can tolerate temperatures from 20°C-140°C. Two sensors accurately measure and
control the heat to within 2°C, so you can be certain you’re cooking at exactly the right temperature for your
recipe.

Induction cooking is an advanced cooking method that employs the principles of electromagnetic induction. When the
Cooking Chef bowl is locked into position the circuit is completed by a special layer of stainless steel in the bowl
base. In turn this creates a large amount of thermal energy that passes through to the contents of the bowl, thus
heating the food.

Induction cooking is extremely energy efficient because it only produces heat in the base of the bowl. Other heating
methods such as gas hobs waste almost 50% of the heat energy around the sides of the pan. The Induction cooking area
on your Cooking Chef only feels hot during and immediately after cooking because of the heat transferred back from
the contents of the bowl. This means that Induction cooking is very efficient, very safe and very clean.

The temperature measurement
The heat function is only available whilst mixing. During heating the temperature LED will pulse on and off. The
LED will remain on while the temperature is +/- 5°C of the required setting. When heating water to a temperature of
100°C, the accuracy is +/- 5°C.

Ultimate control is possible as the temperature ranges in 2°C between 20°C to 140°C in the 3L cooking capacity bowl.
With this unique function, the Kenwood Cooking Chef makes light work of the tricky dishes that require attention and
precision in the kitchen.

Medium Speed Outlet
The medium speed outlet is unique to the Kenwood Titanium Chef and Major and the Cooking Chef. You’ll find it in the
centre on top of the head of the machine and is used to run the versatile food processor attachment.

High Speed Outlet
This outlet is located at the back of the head of the machine and uses the maximum amount of wattage to drive the
high speed attachments. Use this outlet to run our blender, compact chopper/grinder, continuous slicer/grater, juice
extractor and citrus juicer.

LCD Screen display
The built-in digital LCD timer allows you to check on either the cooking time or the temperature and adds an extra
touch of precision to your cooking.

The Kenwood Cooking Chef combines food preparation and induction cooking technology. The temperature can be set
accurately between 20 to 140°C and the timer set for up to 3 hours. This type of temperature and timer control gives
a real freedom in the kitchen and can make even complex dishes quicker and easier to cook.

Display

The LCD display can be toggled to display either the timer or the temperature.
The timer shows either minutes/seconds or hours/minutes.

The temperature is displayed in °C. This display also shows error codes indicating interlock errors and technical
errors.

LED lights flash to indicate that heating, stirring and fold/pulse actions are in operation.

Timer operation

The timer will only count up or down when a mixing or stir function is selected
via the speed control knob.
The timer can only be set (or re-set) when the machine is stopped.
The timer is set in 5 second increments.
When mixing is started the timer will count up, unless the timer has been set by using the +/- buttons. Mixing will
continue until the timer reaches 3 hours, at which point the mixing will stop and there will be an audible sound.
This will also switch the heating OFF.
If the timer has been set by using the +/- buttons, the timer will count down when mixing is started. Mixing will
continue until the timer counts down to 00:00, at which point the mixing will stop and there will be an audible
sound. This will also switch the heating OFF.
The timer will pause if the speed control is rotated to the “0” position and will start again when it is rotated back
to any ON position. Whilst stopped, the elapsed time will be displayed.
The timer can be reset to 00:00 by pressing the + and – buttons at the same time for 0.5 seconds.
The timer is limited to 3 hours maximum.

Temperature Dial
The Kenwood Cooking Chef combines food preparation and induction cooking technology. The temperature can be set
accurately between 20 to 140°C and the timer set for up to 3 hours. This type of temperature and timer control gives
a real freedom in the kitchen and can make even complex dishes quicker and easier to cook.

Fold and Pulse
The fold function is a manual control used to gently incorporate ingredients together. When the fold button is
pressed it will turn the bowl tool 2½ times at half the minimum speed, around 22 revolutions per minute, then stop
automatically. It will work continuously if the control is held in position. The fold button can be operated when
using the machine for hot or cold recipes.

The pulse button is also a manual function used for short bursts of power at optimum speed. The pulse will operate
for as long as the control is held in position by pushing the ‘P’ button. It’s designed to be used with the high
speed attachment, specifically for ensuring ingredients are not over processed and the correct texture is achieved.

Variable Speed Control
The Kenwood Cooking Chef has three dedicated stirring speeds for cooking. Speed 1 slowly and carefully mixes your
ingredients to preserve the structure and texture of ingredients. Stir speed 2 turns the tool two and a half times
and then pauses for 5 seconds and stir speed 3 turns the tool two and a half times and then pauses for 30 seconds.
Ideal for stirring casseroles while cooking and also great for goulash, boeuf bourguignon and ragu sauces.

    Great machine

Our old Kenwood food processor died after many years of service. We decided on this machine because it included many accessories and the option to heat up the bowl (useful for making jam, dough etc). All the components feel very solid and i'm sure that it will serve us for many years. Even though the box contains a wide range of accessories, appliances online doesn't stock additional accessories like food grinder, citrus press etc.
